Factsheet: Building skills in electronics and telecommunications in Senegal

Overview

VET Toolbox involves a range of public and private stakeholders at various levels to address the skills gap in electronics and telecommunications and contribute to the development of the ICT sector in the region. So far, notable accomplishments include:

  • Conducting training of trainers led by Lucas Nülle, involving 16 professionals and trainers from CEFAM Louga and five neighbouring centres.
  • Developing modular training in electrical and digital maintenance and improving access and quality of teaching and learning by using digital tools, digital teaching and e-learning resources.
  • Capacity-building and upskilling for employees of subcontracting companies to better meet the needs of large telecom companies.
