VET Toolbox in Ghana: building skills for agricultural productivity
Ghana’s agricultural sector faces a skills shortage, particularly in technical roles needed to boost productivity. Initiatives like the Savannah Zone Agricultural Productivity Improvement Programme (SAPIP) highlight the growing demand for skilled workers.
The British Council, as part of the VET Toolbox programme, addresses this by offering tailored youth training that meets private sector needs. Through public-private partnerships, the project develops the technical skills required to support emerging businesses, increase productivity, and create decent jobs.
